We are proud to announce, through our continued partnership with the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA), the launch of the second installment to the groundbreaking research on Black/African-American professionals in the risk and insurance industry: “The Next Steps on the Journey: Has Anything Changed?” Through this collaboration, a spotlight continues to be shined upon the sentiments, opinions and experiences of Black/African-American risk and insurance practitioners and their advancement and representation in the industry.
While there is no single solution or universal finding that will help fully clarify issues surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and the risk and insurance industry, we can all reflect on this report’s findings and recommendations to determine whether we can serve as mentor or sponsor, provide growth opportunities, or find other ways to be change agents in making the risk and insurance industry more accessible and equitable.
